Problem with JAX-WS handlers using DFS SDK on WebLogic
Hi, We have a web application which exposes some custom web services (not DFS based) and uses DFS SDK (remote) client to access EMC Documentum. The WebServices in the webapp are generated with JAX-WS, and we are using annotations to define handlers for that webservice to do input request validation and logging. The…

ACS serving files with Content-Disposition header
Hi, I almost started this discussion marking it as a question, but Sherlock in myself told me to let's investigate first and at last I found a solution too. Of course I'm curious about your experience and advices, but sure I would like also to share with you my findings. So the question was, whether ACS servlet can serve…

Hi all, I would like to make DQL queries with a technical user but the query should return only the results for which the particular (for example johndoe) user has write permission. There is no export operation in DFS to which I can pass the destination folder in which to export the files. Should I use the get operation and afterwards move the file(s) to the destination folder? Any other options? Thanks, Mike

UCF and JRE 1.4 running an applet
Hi, We are trying to do the same as Webtop is doing: support JRE 1.4.2 with the content transfer (using UCF). As far as I have gone, we can install the UCF client libraries with the IInstallerContext and IInstallerService from the ucf-installer.jar (found in the DFS SDK 6.5 SP1). What's more, this installs the private JRE…

Lifecycle method in Java
Hi, Has anybody ever made a Lifecycle method in Java? Is docbasic quicker? How can I make one in Java? I made it once, deployed it as a BOF module, but Java Method Server complained that it cannot find my class. How did you solved it? (Which class do I have to extend, how to deploy it) I cannot find any documentation on…

DFS and Dynamic groups
Hi, I was just wondering about is that possible to use dynamic groups with DFS. DFS handles it's sessions within itself, so I suppose I cannot do this out-of-the-box. Anyway, it would be a nice feature, if a DFS caller could pass some information (maybe in servicecontext) about session: for example that the user should be…
