reverse deployment

does a special instance of opendeploy server need to be running just to handle reverse deployments? or can i use the same instance of the service that i handle normal deployments with. if i can only do either reverse OR forward, how do i start 2 instances of the service automatically then?

You should be able to use the same OpenDeploy instance.

Previous versions of OD were not multi-threaded by default. So, one deployment had to finish before another one started.

In OD 5.x, you create your deployment xml configurations (for forward and reverse deployment). You can schedule these deployments through the new OpenDeploy Administration UI. Pretty easy IMO.
