Looking for use cases for TS6.x GUI customizations

We are currently conducting an informal study of use cases for TeamSite GUI customization using UI Toolkit framework. It's has been a great improvement over the past TeamSite version as far as the ease of customization and entry points of customizations. Still, there are a lot of additional nice to have features waiting to be built into the UI toolkit. Such as making the customization available per branch, per user or per role, allow more entry point for use of some internal non-published functions, such as the use of link-checker outside of SCE.

Also, we would like to find out what are the current customizations being done for which kind of use cases?

Any informations, ideas and recommendations would be great for helping us figuring out the best practice to implement GUI requirements using UI Framework and any additional features for the future UI TK.
