Files Show Modified - But Aren't

Hoping maybe someone has seen this before...

We are running Teamsite 5.5.2.1 on AIX 5.1.0.0. We have two 2 workareas set up...one is named "content" and one is named "hr". In the content workarea from day to day none of the files show to be modified with the pencil icon or the date/time unless they are actually opened up and edited.

However in our hr workarea every night something happens that causes the files in this workarea to show as modified with the pencil icon. The date/time does not change nor does the owner but all of the files appear to be edited when we know that they have not. If you submit the files to Staging at say 5 p.m. sometime during the night something touches the files because at 7 a.m. they show to be edited with teh pencil icon.

The thing that is confusing is that if there was a process on the AIX box that was running nightly causing this why is it only showing up in this one particular workarea. Both of the workareas are owned by the same owner so everything appears to be exactly the same between the workareas. The group permissions are different in each workarea but that is just to keep HR users out of the content workarea where the main index pages are updated.

Has anyone seen anything in regards to this before?
