Future of Workflow Builder

I think I've already heard the answer to this, but I would like verification. Moving forward, is Workflow Builder (as it exists now) being end of lifed? I understand there will be a new format for workflows (using Java) and assume that a tool of some sort will be coming out for that. As far as a tool for the existing workflow type goes, just want to know if any more versions of WFB will be coming out.

At the moment, our workflows are WFB compatible, but I'd like to move away from it if it's going to EOL'd.
