FormAPI - 5.5.x vs. 6.x

I am wondering what issues people face as they migrate DCTs containing lots of FormAPI from 5.5.x to 6.x. I wonder what bugs have been fixed, what new features have been added, what broke, and especially what issues are faced with code that uses undocumented APIs.
