Populating eventsubd_err.log

System

How does one generate an error so that the
eventsubd_err.log located in Teamsite/local/logs get's populated.
We just switched to the event server so my log parser for errors needs to be changed (was checking iwsyncdb.log)
Thus - I need to know what error strings I will be parsing as well as a date format (as these are always formatted different in each IWOV log file)
