On Windows 2000 running TS5.5.1 (yes 5.5.1 and upgrading is not a near term option) we are attempting to copy a file to another server while generating a page and cannot seem to succeed. We have tried copying using the perl File::Copy module and UNC File path (i.e. \\server\path\to\file.txt) as well as shelling out using system and/or back ticks an permission denied error. We have even tried doing user impersonation via the perl module Win32::AdminMisc and it doesn't work. There appears to be some user context that the generate is running under that is not allowing network access. It has occurred to me that we are actually doing this only during a preview of the page rather than a full generate so that might be an issue and we will test for it now.
Is there a known way of doing this or a known issue with doing this?
