The session looks at how BIRT enables you to quickly and easily incorporate world-class reporting into applications without the need for time-consuming custom code, and how developers can use a visual design environment to create reports based on a wide variety of data sources, including SQL, XML, Web Services and Java objects. Reports can range in functionality from simple reports created with a drag-and-drop experience, to complex reports with full programmatic control - all designed visually using a web-page design metaphor.<br />
