Designing Analytics Reports
(Maximo) Application Filters Not Passed to Report
Migrateduser

When certain list-type reports are run from Maximo Asset Management, the report inhererits any filiter set up in the list view tab of the application from which the report is run. For example, if I create a WHERE clause in the application of filter based on one of the columns, then the report is filtered in the same way.

In order for this to work, I know that the main table from the application must be one of the tables in the WHERE clause of the main data set. For example, if the report is run from the 'Inventory' application, then one of the tables for the query must be the INVENTORY table, WORKORDER for the 'Work Order Tracking' application, etc.

My problem is that it doesn't seem to be working for some of my recently-created reports. When I set a filter in the application and then run the report, it simply returns all the records from that application. Is there some step that I am missing? It almost seems like there was an option in Maximo that needed to be set in order for this to work, but I can't find it. Or is there something else that I need to do in Birt?

I'm attaching a very simple report as an example. I am using Eclipse Kepler, Relase 1.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
