workflow for datadeploy

Hi ,
I'm trying to deploy dcr's to a database through the workflow attached. the workflow is configured to send emails using iwsend_mail.ipl file.
(1) the log file for iwsend_mail says "success sending email" but the recipient doesn't recieve email.
(2) i'm using the already existing author_submit_dcr-0.ipl file for deploying dcr to database. what changes do i need to make in the ipl file for successful dcr deployment to database.
i've been battling with the above mentioned problems and can't seem to get nowhere.
Immediate help would be greatly appreciated.
