<p>I am generating PDFs with Fixed Layout, where we have the requirement to show some footer text on the last page. The length of this footer is totally dynamic and the characters are in any multiple fonts and in different languages. We are currently using the Birt version 2.5 where if we do not specify any footer height in the master page then the dynamic length footer is shown perfectly at the end of the page and the rest of the page is left blank for the main text to be shown on the pdf. Now we are planning to migrate our reports to 4.4.2 version. In 4.4.2 version if we do not specify any footer height in the Master Page then Birt sets the default footer type of 0.5in and show only few lines of the text in the footer.</p>

<p>Is there any way in 4.4.2 version to adjust the footer depending upon the text. It is not possible for us to count the lines of lines or characters to determine the height of the footer since the text is in different fonts and languages.</p>
