Timeout not working after "thaw"

I created a test job that has three tasks. Two dummytasks and the endtask. The dummytasks have a 1 minute timeout and call each other. Therefore dummy1 calls dummy2 calls dummy1 every minute (an exciting job, I know).

I issue an IWFREEZE +200 to freeze the backing store for 3 minutes and 20 seconds. The dummy workflow pauses (thank you) but after 200 seconds the backing store thaws and I would expect the dummy job to continue. It doesn't.

It DOES continue in 5.5.2 but not in 5.0.2. Anyone with suggestions on how to get this to work?
I have one self-imposed restriction. I don't want to use an external task that does a 'sleep'.
