task list not containing files

ENV: win2k/Solaris8/TS552sp3

In the TS workarea view you select 5 html files and click the submit button. The associated dcrs are submitted via the default submit workflow.

The question is the following

Why is it that when you select the files and New Job>Default Submit, you will get all files (also unchanged) in the Task File list (when clicking edit task), whereras the same Default Submit workflow does not include the unchanged files in that list when you select the files and click the Submit button?

Due to a custom script to sync dcrs with generated files, I want to keep the unchanged files in the task's file list on clicking the Submit button.

Any way if it is possible, and if so, how to do this?
