characters in html emails corrupting layout/URLs

ENV: win2k/TS552 and Solaris8/TS552

Hi,

I have 2 customers who run html email workflows: One of the customers is using the Solutions workflow and the other customer is running the older html format. The funny thing is that both html layouts and links in the emails sometimes get corrupted by the entry of an exclamation mark in the URL of jobs or the colour of tables changes as an extra ! is inserted,

has anyone seen this before? I could not easily find anything in the resources on this?
