Error when exporting the data into Excel

I am using Birt 2.5.2. When I run the View Report with XLS, I get the following error in the logs -
18/05/2010 10:44:07 org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.emitter.excel.ExcelEmitter needOutputInMasterPage
WARNING: Excel page header and footer don't support html text.

The Excel report does not display the data correctly. Can someone please let me know what should I do to fix it? The MasterPage of the report does not have anything in the header and footer. Shoudl I put something there?
