It would be nice if there were some sort of roles files for Open Deploy, similar to the roles files for TeamSite, but with a little extra info. I'm thinking an XML representation of the users mapped to which deployments they have access to. This would be helpful since I have to create a custom menu script for TeamSite to allow OD users to execute deployments that contain parameter substitution variables. Since those types of OD configs cannot be executed from within the OD GUI, I have to create a CGI interface for them to be run, allowing the user to choose the values for the parameters. If I had a roles file to look at, I could provide the same security so that only the deployment configs assigned to the user in the OD Admin GUI would be allowed to be run from my custom script for that user.
