Component doesn't save

Then I press the "save" button on a component sometimes it doesn't save.

The cause, 99% of the time, is an included .XSL file has some sort of error. Anyone know if the cause of the failure is logged anywhere. It's some what tedious digging through lengthy XSL looking for the cause.
