Using site map with dynamic .page files

We will have a location.page that will be used to display the location dcrs. In the site map a node is assigned to a .page file. When the children nodes for location are added there is no .page file for them. There is the location.page file but calling the location.page file with out extra information will prevent it from pulling the correct DCR. Is there something about the site map that I don't know and this is not an issue or is the site map not that useful for a site made up of mostly dynamic .page files?
