Access to folders inside workarea

Hi Guys,

We are using TS 6.7.2 SP2, we have a global branch which hosts common folders which is accessible to everyone, we have a requirement to introduce a new folder in the global branch but access (read, write, execute) restricted only to certain users.

I created the restricted folder (Named 'restricted') in the global branch, created a new TS group and named it as "Restricted_group" and assigned certain users to it.

Now i changed the permission of the 'restricted' folder and assigned the group as "Restricted_group" and changed the permission as RWXRWX---
This is to ensure that only user and group has access to the restricted folder.

But if a user who doesn't belong to the "Restricted_group" logs into Teamsite he can see the 'restricted' folder and create files/folders inside.

Is that iam missing something here?

Note: Users are ldap users and if i go to the backend (Linux) i can see the permission set as user:iwglobal with permission as rwxrwx---

Any pointers?
