SP cross branch browser ?

OK, have a number of image/flash objects. Default SP browser will only look in the local workarea. Due to support for many languages (which I am seeing some fundamental issues in SP anyway) we need to host the images/flash on another branch.

Only option I know of is to use a DCR and hten use the ability to search other branches. Any other ideas ?

TS 6.7.2 with a 7.1 upgrade in the near future (Linux)
