Creating new forum category breaks Recent Posts feed

1. I created the subcategory and the home feeds broke.
2. I deleted the subcategory and the home page feeds returned to normal.
3. I recreated the category, this time as a child of an existing subcategory. This didn't affect the home page feeds.
4. When I moved it from the existing subcategory to be in the "Developer Community" category, the home feeds broke again.
5. I deleted that one.
6. I created the category again, in the "Developer Community" , with a different name and url, and it broke the home feeds.
7. I deleted the category again
8. I created the category again, and added a post to it. It broken the home feeds.
