use .NET as a substitute for perl/java/CGI?

Do you guys know if there is anyway we could use .NET as a substitute for the perl and java we use in external workflow and CGI calls to the DB?

apparently our .Net team was told during the sales pitch that TeamSite integrated w/ .net or whatever we wanted to. we are able to call .net applications w/ callservers but i think they wanted to be able to actually do the above

im 99% sure this isnt possible and the languages are Java, JSP, Perl, CGI, C++, JavaScript, HTML
