Teamsite 6.1 - Running OD as non-root
System
Hi, I'm using OpenDeployUX4.5 and running it as a non-root user on the endpoint. I can start it up and have confirmed it's listening on bothe the SSL and non SSL ports. The correct keys are in place but when running a userpush from the master the top directory is created on the endpoint but nothing else. The job outputs the following
client: Remote status: server-OK
client: [Wed Feb 18 10:06:39 2009] opendeploy 20090218.15865.2 iwmaster COMPLETED /app/iw-home/iwmnt/GWS/main/WebEngineering/JDK/Sun/jdk-1_5_0_14-solaris-64/EDITION/ed_0001 java-jdk1.5.0_14-solaris64bit nys01a-0201 ulsmwe81.eu.csamintra.net

and the logs give the following errors:
ERROR: Failed applying access to (path_to_file)
ERROR: Could not get file data(./filename) from socket.
which has a possible Cause:Need to run OD as root.
We are using Teamsite 6.1, does anyone know if it's possible to run opendeploy as a non-root user with this version or whether I'll need to upgrade to 6.7? Thanks in advance.
Ben
