MediaBin Asset Size Limitations?
catorarn
Hi there,
a Customer is asking if we have any written statement on how large assets can be in MediaBin. I know that the file transfer applet support large file sizes. I could not find in the documentation bundle how large exactly:
Found in the Installation guide for MB642:
Enabling the File Transfer Applet
The MediaBin Web Client supports file uploads and downloads either via HTTP or via a supplied transfer applet. By default, the Web Client runs in non-applet mode. Benefits supplied by the transfer applet include not requiring users to manually “Save As” their downloaded files, and displaying a download progress bar. The applet is also
required for large file support in the MediaBin Web Client (due to limitations of Microsoft IIS).
To enable the file transfer applet, you must edit constants.asp:
1. Open the MediaBin Web Client’s installation folder (typically, C:\Program Files\MediaBin Web Client).
2. Then open the \Include subfolder and locate Constants.asp.
3. Change the value of the constant c_AppletFileTransfer from False to True.
4. Save your edits.
Anybody in DevNet has any metrics for us?
