Trigger document archiving from SharePoint workflow

Hello,

Is there a way how to trigger document archiving from SharePoint workflow, for example, when document goes through workflow and if it is approved then published to CS.

I know that this is not available in standard solution (except if scheduled / profile archiving is configured to check, for example, document status) and would like to extend AGA functionality.

Has anybody implemented something similar? Where to start?
