This document explains how to open an editor from the preview environment using either a direct link (for WEM 8.1SP1 and beyond) or the JavaScript API (for all V8.x releases)
It has been a frequent request for people used to the former V7 way based on the pencil icon rendered by theXSLPageUtil. displayInContextEditing() method, that is not supported in V8 mode.
