migrating from 5.5.2 to 6.7.1 (Solaris)

Hi All,

Going thru all the articles but getting contradicting messages if I look for "upgrading from 5.5.2 to 6.7.1"

A) Article https://support.interwoven.com/kb/kb_show_article2.asp?ArticleID=57148
says it is possible on UNIX for sure

looking at page 60 of ts.650a.install.unix.pdf it says only below upgrade paths are supported.

TeamSite 5.5.2 Service Pack 6 to TeamSite 6.5
TeamSite 6.1 to TeamSite 6.5
TeamSite 6.1 Service Pack 1 to TeamSite 6.5


We are planning to upgrade our current Teamsite 5.5.2 (Solaris) to a 6.7.1 on a new server (Solaris)

So is it safe to try plan A of above options ? Is plan B refer to inplace upgrade ?

If anyone had a success in straight upgrade from 552 to 671 please let me know, so I 'll start looking further.

Generally they say the supported path is 552 => 652 => 671. Does it apply if we are trying on a new server as well ?
