translating spaces

System

I am working on a template and would like to translate all spaces to "_" in a dcr field. I am fairly new to perl and have been pulling my hair out trying to accomplish this minor feat. If anyone has any suggests, I would greatly appreciate it!

You could use the follow replacement:

$variable =~ s/\s/_/g;

I think that should work. It replaces all spaces (\s) with an underscore.
