Backing up Store

I am trying to do a manual backup of the IWstore to another drive. I issue an iwfreeze command and then try to copy. The copy fails almost immediately by complaining about a lock file. Do I need to issue some Unlock commands too?

Also is there a way to freeze the store for an unlimited time. The only way I could get it to work was do a iwfreeze +n command. can someone give me an example to do the iwfreeze without a timelimit on all stores issuing the command by itslelf or with the storename didn't work.
