Hey folks -
Running 6.5SP2 on w2k3, with some recent version of the IBM HTTP Server (read: Apache) as the customer web server. Comparing the current version of a file to STAGING works, but any comparison that relies on an implicit edition fails.
I guessed that IHS isn't finding the file, and this is confirmed by looking at its error_log:
File does not exist: Y:/default/main/Intranet/EDITION/#235/index.html, referer:
http://teamsite/iw-cc/command/iw.ccpro.compare_file?current.vpath=//teamsite/default/main/Intranet/WORKAREA/common/index.html&vpath=//teamsite/default/main/Intranet/EDITION/%23167/index.html&other.vpath=//hq1md128/default/main/Intranet/EDITION/%23235/index.htmlI double checked against a box running 6.7 and using IIS as the customer web server and confirm that that combination doesn't exhibit the problem. On the 6.5 box, I can navigate to the implicit edition from the command line and see the file, so I'm guessing there is some subtle difference between how IIS interacts with the filesystem and how IHS does it.
Anyone ever run this particular combination and have any thoughts on a way around this?
Cheers
Rob
