TeamSite 6.7.1 is a follow-up release for TeamSite 6.7. In addition to performance enhancements and bug fixes, this release includes feature enhancements, a new platform, and new languages support.
Feature Enhancements
· New Workflow modeler: A graphical user interface with a visio like environment to design and build workflows with support for Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). It seamlessly integrates with TeamSite Content Center for version control of workflows. It provides a web based graphical view of the workflow including the highlighting of workflow status. This new workflow modeler simplifies the creation and configuration of workflows to automate the business processes that drive web publishing within enterprises.
· Single-sign-on (SSO) enhancement: A more generic and flexible infrastructure for integration with third party SSO systems including an out-of-the-box integration with SiteMinder. The new design leverages the “trusted client” infrastructure in TeamSite and removes the need for the “active response module” on the SiteMinder server. This also serves as a best practice recommendation for integration with other SSO systems.
· Server runs as non-root: The TeamSite server on Unix systems now runs as non-root user. This addresses the security concern in some data centers about running processes with root privilege.
· FormsPublisher: To enhance forms rendering performance for large data records, TeamSite 6.7.1 contains the following changes:
1. Background rendering of replicants is turned off by default
2. Threshold expansion for replicants is configurable
3. A new mode, collapse-direct-children, is available for setting how replicants are rendered.
· New visual format editor: TeamSite now includes TinyMCE to support cross-platform rich text editing in Forms Publisher. Users can now take advantage of rich text editing regardless of which supported platform or browser is being used.
· Enhanced iwstat command line tool: More options have been added to the iwstat command-line tool for obtaining new details about completed operations.
· ECM Connector: The Interwoven ECM Connector is now included with TeamSite. The ECM connector provides seamless access to Interwoven MediaBin and Interwoven WorkSite MP through the TeamSite ContentCenter Professional interface.
· Infrastructure upgrade:
1. JVM: JVM 1.5 for both client and server. Microsoft JVM is still supported for end user.
2. Apache: Apache 2.0.58.
3. SOAP: New SOAP server with CSSDK. Multi-byte support has been added.
