Customizing Delete functionality of TeamSite

I am working on TS 6.5 Sun solaris.
I need to customize the delete functionality provided in the Team Site. My requirement is such that for some specific folders under some workareas users
cannot delete the files at all through the teamsite.

1) Is it possible to disable the Delete link for specific folders?
OR
2) If the user selects a file and clicks on delete, then he must get an alert telling that the user cannot delete the particular content. For remaining folders he should be able to use the Delete as usual. Is this possible? Is it possible to customize the JSP(which is called when Delete link is clicked) such that it checks for file path and alerts the user for specifc folders and for rest of files deletion to happen normally.
