Selective/Block Tagging

Hey Everyone,

We are using TS 6.5 SP2, and we would like to tag only specific files with metadata. We currently call on the tagging screen from the workflow through an external task, and we would like to block the tagging of files from the templatedata directory.
I have looked on other posts, and it seems to be possible through "block tagging", but I could not find any concrete examples on how to implement this. Any ideas?
