OD 6.1 and Teamsite 6.1 Sp2 on Windows 2003

Is there a way in the OD deployment script to create an exclude statement on a subbranch.

Example:
Branch 1
-------- Branch 2


When I run the deployment for branch 1 I do not want it to deploy anything called Branch 2 or contents of branch2. But I want it to deploy the workareas under Branch1
