Multiple stores question

System

Since I do not have a license (yet) for multiple store I have a question to ask.

If I have two store and each store has one branch and one workarea can I do the following.

Use the Copy To menu option to copy a DCR from store 1 to store 2 and have it retain user locks?

Reason I ask is that I am doing an iwmigrate and want to be able to move over all the new or files that are being edited from store 1 to store 2.
