Fresh install of 6.0.1 expects specific libstdc++?

This seems unreasonable to me, but I've installed OD 6.0.1 on Linux and when starting OD for the first time, it throws a Java error that it can't find libstdc v6.2.2, even though there's a more recent version (6.4) of libstdc on the box. Has anyone seen this before and is there a simple fix?
