The TS GUI is Awful

We're using TS6.1, SP2

Any job that has a lot of files in it, when you try and see task details on the current task for that job, the screen takes minutes...many minutes to repaint. This is awful. What's so hard about painting the **** screen if there are lots of files? What a piece of garbage.
