Complex form, very simple process - some advice required.

Hi,

We have a requirement which at its simplest can be expressed as

1. User fills in a quite complex form

2. Form is routed to an approver/rejector based on some data entered into the form

3a. Form is then either approved, in which case some updates are done elsewhere

3b. or Form is rejected and it just goes into the pile of rejects

Now the form is the data that needs to be saved as it is quite complex, several tabs and quite a large number of fields to be entered.

Now how best can I accomplish this within the Documentum space?

I have been looking at Taskspace and see I can put together a simple workflow but I can't see how to get the form in as the first things that is done, i.e. process starts with the form coming up preferably via a simple click of a button.

I could do it in Webtop and have the user create the form and could probably have the submit pass it on to the approver.

I could also create a separate Java application and have the form in there and have it submitted into a Documentum process?

One issue all of these may have is that given that the form is complex would they allow it to be saved and later loaded such that the user could actually complete it over more than a single session?

Any assistance on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,
