OD 6 to OD 4 receivers ?

Does anyone know if there are any compatibility issues with a 6.X server pushing to 4.X clients ? I know
new functionality will not work, but if it worked with a 4.5 sender, will it work with a 6.0.1 sender ?

I am on site doing a 4.5 to 6.X upgrade & the customer does not want the receivers upgraded (yet)
