Disabling workflow “start” button after one click

Teamsite 6 workflow engine will create multiple jobs when you click on “start” button multiple times in new job screen before it transitions to the next screen. We had a workaround for Teamsite 5.52, but the workaround does not work anymore with the new GUI design. Has anyone found a solution for this bug?

Disabling submit button after one click is a common design with web forms. And it is necessary for all web forms as this type of error happens frequently. I was told that there was a feature request filed for this issue filed 4-5 months ago, but no date has been given for possible patch.
