Here’s an interesting one. I have already submitted this to Interwoven as a trouble ticket, but I was just wondering if this is a known bug that anyone else has run into:
We’re on TeamSite 6.1 SP2, Solaris 8
In a nutshell, if you copy a file to the same directory using the EXACT same filename, but using a different case, then you will be unable to select it from a DCT "Browse" button. This only occurs with IE 6. Mozilla does not experience this problem.
To reproduce the issue, use IE 6 (I’m on 6.0.2800.1106) to do the following:
- From CCPro, use "Edit -> Copy" to copy /docs/test.doc to /docs/test.DOC (note that to reproduce the error, you must copy test.DOC to the same directory as test.doc)
- Open any DCT that has a "Browse" button and try to select test.DOC. You should receive the error:
"test.DOC does not exist." (Note that you’ll need to have extns=".doc,.DOC" in your browse definition in order to see both extensions)
Observations:
- It’s not a problem if the destination of test.DOC is in a different directory
- It’s not a problem if you also rename the file with the copy (e.g., test_renamed.DOC)
- "File -> Rename" does not seem to have this problem
Has anyone else seen this behavior?
